Beware of Fandango!
Edited on Fri Sep-28-07 05:19 PM by goclark
I am so mad!

I just got off the phone with a WIL#ReservationsRewards phone representative---just noticed their debit on my account statement.

I called them on the number listed to find out why they were changing me $10 and they said they were affiliated with Fandango Movie tickets.

I kept pressing them to explain how they got my authority to debit my account and they said that when I clicked in at fandango it asked me if I wanted a "REWARD" if you clicked YES -- they debit your account every month for $10."

Now I am remembering at Fandango I had a lot of trouble getting my tickets, I remember flashing lights like you just won the slots in Vegas.

Be very careful, because the game must be to confuse you to keep clicking to get back to the original screen and in the process you click into this slick trick!

I am furious!

After I gave her a piece of my goclark mind, she quickly said that she would "cancel my debit that they had been taking out for 10 months and return the $90 to me"--- how I did not notice it on my statements is beyond me!

9. Complaint to the AG is in the mail --- thanks so much

They have an excellent on line form to submit.

I wanted to take care of it immediately so that they are on notice that it is is scam.

5. I was not aware of AOL tricks -- what did they do?

I am still steaming at Fandango.

If that is what they would do to me -- what are they doing to thousands of other people!

6. I think they used much the same kind of deal... where you click
something on their site, and end up being automatically enrolled in some kind of extras deal, which they bill you automatically for. I think they got into some trouble over it, but I'm not sure...

10. Glad to hear that AOL did not get away with it.

And please hope that Fandango will not get away with it either.

Now I am afraid to use the web to purchase anything. :(
