Has anyone tried stem cell cream?
I had considered trying dermabrasion a few weeks ago but then I stumbled onto this.I am in my mid thrities trying to turn the clock back (even if its just a year or two).I was curious if anyone had tried this before or know anything about it? I did a google search and found alot of info but I am looking for people who have actually tried it or work in retail who sell it to give me their 2 cents. Thanks!

1. i thought i had tried them all but that's a new one, i'll give you a bump
at $100-$500 a pop for some of these creams i am just going to have to accept that they don't work (for me) and i've got to get back into the peels, which do work

however i'm quite a bit more than "mid thirties!"

the one which peeved me off the most was that freeze 24/7 which just makes little teeny balls of product on the skin

some of them actually work a little, like strivectin-D, altho it really only works to remove temporary lines caused by excessive drynesss (vegas air, airplane air) and not permanent laugh lines, or not for me anyway

but it's still a lot of money, considering for what i've spent on "hope in a jar" (or usually multiple jars) i would have a better result from peels plus botox or restylane (i realize you're too young to worry about that)

4. well
I read one review that was very favorable, however, it could have been writen by a rep.for the company for all we know. Apparently is heals scars and burns very well. Still, $190 every 28 days is alot.I wish they gave samples, but it probably takes about 6-9 months before you see any results.

9. i need to make a tiny correction to my post and the editing period passed
i said strivectin-d, i checked the bottle and what i have is actually strivectin-hs

it would probably do all you need done at your age but it ain't cheap -- cheaper than $190 for every 28 days by a way lot though, it comes in a dark bottle with an eyedropper and you use very little, i could probably make the bottle last a year

i've tried many other products as or more expensive and really they don't do much

even sunscreen has only protected the areas of skin where i wore sunscreen PLUS make-up, in other words, my face itself, the areas where i wore only sunscreen, decollatage plus arms are basically permanently freckled now at my age unless i get dermabrasion

3. the name is a bit of a misnomer, if I'm not mistaken....

The active ingredient is a short peptide originally isolated from undifferentiated stem cells that stimulates or otherwise fosters skin growth and rejuvenation (allegedly). I don't know how they're manufacturing the peptide now-- there are several ways to do it-- but I doubt that stem cells are involved at all.

I suspect that *if* it does what it claims it's because that peptide serves as a gene activation factor. Anyway, stem cells don't really have anything to do with the product that's being marketed-- only with the research that contributed to its development.

10. you're not mistaken
the link says that the product does not actually contain any stem cells

kind of an ugly clunky name if you ask me, but i guess it was the buzzword of the minute when they were naming the product

at this point i think i may need the blood of underaged virgins...
