Poll question: Favorite SUPERTRAMP number
Right RIGHT! Yer bloody well right. Ya got a bloody right to say: Me I just don't care anyway

Just to prove that I'm really back...

PS: Sorry Winnie; had to drop 'Fool's Overture' for 'Goodbye Stranger'. Sic transit gloria mundi. Also 'Babaji' for 'Two of Us'; this was much harder than I thought it would be.

8. Close!
My first: Paul MacCartney's Venus and Mars

My second: Supertramp's Breakfast in America

Then I discovered The Association, Petula Clark, and Punk Rock, all at about the same time.

4. After careful consideration...I have voted..."Give A Little Bit"
I'm not a HUGE fan of Supertramp, but I have always liked that tune. 2nd favorite - The Logical Song, if only for its relevance today.

5. You're kidding, right?
Nope, guess you're not. But Supertramp? Of all the forgettable pop bands of the later 70s I would've thought they were among the forgettable-est. Sort of not-very-progressive prog-rock? Nope, I don't get it.

Ah well, de gustibus non disputandem....

9. Geezer rock alert! Geezer rock alert! Do not panic. Remain calm...
Simply put down the vinyl record. Drive to the nearest music store. Purchase something released in the past decade on CD (that stands for "compact disc").

Some notable suggestions are Red Hot Chili Peppers or at least some crap like Clay Aiken - well, maybe not THAT.

11. Take the Long Way Home
It was popular half of my lifetime ago.

Recently, I heard it again, and I had become the subject of the song.

Well, no wife and no concert tour, but close enough.

17. "Had A Dream"
Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 09:14 AM by mac56
Had a dream
It was war
And they couldn't tell me what it was for
But it was something they could lie about
Something we could die about, you know

Anytime, anyplace
When you look that man in the face
Well it is not a face you wanna see
Sleeping with the enemy, you know
