Who'da thunk it- many of the old programs from that era won't work in Win XP 64, but After Dark still kicks ass! Ya learn something new every day.

Now if only I could find my floppy install disks of the Opus 'N' Bill module....

1. Cool! Do they move across the screen at the right speed...
...or are they just a toasty blur?

2. The graphics are excellent
I think it's the DirectX- the original install used DX v3, and I'm on v9. Sound, toasters with wings- everything in all the modules appears fully functional.

3. I'm amazed.
Well that certainly explains why DX is such a massive beast: it's got backward compatibility all the way back to the Jurassic.

5. In a word (okay, TWO words) - 3D graphics.
DirectX is a Windoze subsystem that controls all the cool gaming graphics on your computer.

As for After Dark, use the link in my OP to read up on it.
