Firefox 2.0.0.6 browser has a tendency to CRASH
I had never had problems with the Firefox browser until I upgraded to ver. 2.0.0.6. Anyone else encountering a lot of Firefox crashes with this updated version?

1. Daily. Usually when I first use it, then it loosens up a bit.
may need to add some stretching or pilates to it.

3. No problems at all with it
I can't remember when I upgraded to it, but I can't think of any problems with Firefox for some time. For what it's worth, I run it on Windows 2000.

7. when you say crash what exact;ly do you mean?
I have been having highly irritating problemws that I thought were related to my antique dial up connection. Constantly getting "server not found Firefox can't find server at..." error messages.

12. Same thing happens to me. I do a system restore back to the last

session that I recall was glitch free and
voila! Server not found message gone.

9. Yep, mine too.
It also tends to consume a lot of memory over time -- this is under Windows 2000 Professional. When I want to run my java based stock trading client, which is also rather clunky, I always first quit Firefox to release all the memory its allocated or things start hanging or responding really slowly.

NOTE: 'Crash' means an error message saying Firefox can't access some memory address with the only options being to quit or load the Microsoft Visual Studio debugger (if you have it installed).

recently I've had it reboot the comp while browsing. Just last night I was checking my email and it just restarted the computer for no reason. its happened about 5 times now.

11. Working fine
Try creating a new profile, just to see if the problem persists.

Last Firefox problem I had was related to my profile.
