Hilarious fast food names.
In central Texas, around Crawford, there's a fried chicken chain called "Bush's Chicken!"

Yes he is, my friends. Yes he is.

No idea if the name has anything to do with W, but it cracks me up every time I see the sign.

3. We used to have a pseudo-Irish pub
Not half bad food, not half bad drink, and a roaring fireplace in the winter. Called Timothy Patrick's. Fair enough.

Then one of the managers or bartenders or something bought it from the owners and decided to make it more of a SPORTS bar (gee, we sure need another one of THOSE), which mainly means installing lots of TVs and kicking out the old folks who drink only one Manhattan or gin and tonic with their meal in favor of the multi-Labatt's-swilling crowd.

Renamed the place TP's. Uhhh...hope that's not a commentary on the quality of the food. :eyes:

4. The WT Grant Store in my home town
had a diner in it called "The Bradford House". Their flagship hamburger was "The Big Brad". I don't know why, but that always struck me as really funny. I could never order a "Big Brad" with a straight face.

8. Yeah, the food was fine
If I could order without laughing. I don't think there are any Grants anymore. Victims of Wal-Mart maybe?

13. Grant's were gone long before Wal*Mart...
They had them back in L.A. before I left for Europe in 1964. I don't think they were there by the time I got back. If anything, they were killed off by Woolworth's (remember them?).
