So the kids and I are having a "Fun With Plagues of the Bible Day"
on Monday.

"River of blood" Slip n' slide, water balloon frogs and gnats, pin-the-boil-on-the-afflicted, etc.

We missed the county fair, so I'm doing this, instead. It's educational and stuff. I'm going to go to the dollar store to get prizes.

I need some more ideas. Who's got some?

:bounce:

1. How about a nice game of "Stone The Harlot"
From the New Testament? You could get a poster of the 'pop tart' of your choice, and have the kids fling away to their hearts' content.

2. I'm steering away from the physical violence stuff....
like the whole "killing the firstborn" thing.
Just don't see how I can work that in, in a humorous manner.

3. At my house, we like to see of we can part the Red Sea
We turn the hairdryer on high, and aim it at a full sink. First one to hold it steady enough to part the water without electrocuting themselves wins a wooden staff!

4. Bwahaha!
I'm still trying to figure out how I can make a large quantity of red jello inexpensively, for the "river of blood" slip n' slide.

7. Eek! That's too realisitic!
I'm thinking that will freak the kids out!
Also- if we slip n' slide on it, we might get stained...

back to the drawing board...

8. OK, ixnay on the violence, hmmmm.....let's see
That's a tough one.
I think most of the Old Testament is nothing but stories involving violence in one form or another.

You could try 'Noah and the Ark'.

Get an inflatable raft, float it in the pool, and award prizes to the kid that matches the most pairs of toy animals together the quickest.

And don't forget the dinosaurs and unicorns like Noah did.

10. No idea for the games, but an idea for a dinner to go with that theme...
For dinner, server 'Rack of Lamb of God'. Really just rack of lamb with a red glaze of some sort.

Currant glaze might add an interesting tangy taste. Of course, the whole idea is in bad taste... :)

We were told to use the red color for blood, the best picture won a prize.
