6. Hmm, haven't experienced this on mine.
and I regularly have WMP playing back my Windows Media Lossless-ripped CD library while surfing etc...I'll have to actually test the throughput while music is playing. I've never noticed any bottlenecks, at any rate...it's been reasonably fast, and this on a 3GHz Prescott core P4, Vista Ultimate, 2GB RAM.

I've tried various Linux flavors, never warmed up to them. XP, Vista, and Windows Home Server RC1 (soon to be available, I was a beta tester) are working just peachy.

7. No problems here.
I can even play a CD, a MP3, AND internet gaming Unreal Tournament 2004, which is very bandwidth intensive!

And my system isn't as posh as his is!
