Barry Bonds - homerun king
Loved the taped message from Hank Aaron, acknowledging and endorsing the record.

Don't think Barry will hold the record as long as Aaron though. Especially if A-Rod stays healthy.

Congrats, Barry Bonds, for holding the greatest record in sports.

1. Barry Bonds is the Home Run King*
*Home Run King of players bulked up on steriods and growth hormones in hopes to bastardize the game in order to achieve a record

Barry Bonds can go fuck himself. Hank Aaron has been and will always be the home run king

2. Congrats, Barry Bonds*, for making a mockery of legitimate athletes
and for feeling no remorse in doing whatever unethical or illegal thing you need to do to come out ahead.

4. Gotta admit...the Bonds haters whining is almost as sweet as the record itself...
This must be what its like to be a Yankees fan.

5. That was like comparing George W. Bush to Abraham Lincoln
Sure, they may both be republicans but that's about it - Bush, like Bonds, is the joke of the baseball world; whereas, Lincoln will always be respected for what he has done.

12. Whining? If pointing out an unethical path is 'whining', then we should have shut up after 2000
and joined the Republicans.

How asinine.

I find the steroid-use-unethical-cheating-and-lying apologists to be as sick as those who think Shrubya was actually elected in 2000.

6. hook me up with some, I want to make the Major Leagues and break Bond's record
I figured at my age I could do that in about 10 years if I took about the same amount of crap as Bond did

11. Why aim low?
Do 10x as much and do it in 1 year. In a decade, you'd have like a brazillion dingers and potentially look like this:

8. Comparing at-bats, he's the strikeout king, too
Aaron
12,384 at-bats
1,383 strikeouts

Bonds
9,774 at-bats
1,531 strikeouts

One could say that when Bonds does connect, he does so with authority.

10. He is certainly strikes out more than Aaron...
who was very difficult to strikeout. Historically Bonds does not strike out often, and almost always has more walks than strikeouts in a season. Compare to A-Rod who strikes out much more often than Bonds, yet still hits over .300.
