honeymoon help please
my son is getting married in the spring. They would like to go to the Caribbean but they don't really know anything about the islands. I would like to help but I've only been to Bermuda (which is out of season for them) and the Grand Cayman off of the worst cruise ship trip ever. They have been to the Dominican Republic so they don't want to repeat that and they are not interested in Nassau/Bahamas or Jamaica. They are looking at the Virgin Islands (both British & US) as well as Turks & Caicos.
Can anyone help with suggestions? They don't ahve a lot of money so they would like to stay at a nice place that is not too expensive.

1. Anguila is exquisitely isolated. It can be a little pricey
but they should surely look into it.

3. great suggestions
thanks. :hi:

They tend to just want to "hang" by the beach or pool. Sightseeing on this trip won't be a high priority. ;-)

4. St. John USVI is beautiful... and 2/3 of the island is protected

by national forest. Small, quiet, and relatively safe.

Here's some green resorts to stay at - Maho Bay Campground has little cottages,(for a honeymoon check out the F section tents - much more quiet and secluded - best views too!), Harmony has actual studio apartments - and they are both on the side of a mountain that leads down to a beach. I lived here for a while, and loved it.

Estate Concordia is on the opposite side of the island, offering a lot more privacy.

Congrats to you and your son!

5. If they go to USVI go to St Johns
2/3 of the island is park land and the place is quiet and beautiful. Charlotte Amalie on St Thomas is a tourist trap, there are some nice beaches on the island like Megan's bay. Never stayed on BVI but have taken day trips there to the Baths on Virgin Gorda.
