Guys I know I am new the the DU but I really need your help

Ok so I am be new to the DU but I am not new the Idea of being a democrat.
I am starting the web page 1democrat.com I need help from all of you. Let me know what you would like to see in a great democratic website. The name being 1democrat.com could really take off. I want to make sure this is a very positive website for the democratic party please email or message me with any ideas thank you all [email protected]

I am not sure yet maybe all of the above. In this day and time what do you think democrats look for in a top website. I will have a forum the rest I have yet to decide.

is that we want content, and a place to discuss it. So what content would you offer that we don't already get at one of the existing major sites?

Start with your own resources. Building a web site will not attract people. Having something on your website that people want will attract people. So first determine what you can provide, and make sure you can provide enough of it consistently. Otherwise, you're wasting your own time.

I can see what you are saying, and it does make sense. This is why I want to reach out the the du community to help me gather some ideas and maybe a few patrons on the way. Lets say I can offer a good message board, a blog, and I can find a handful of others to help provide upbeat and fresh information. What do you think about the url name? Should there be alot of satire. What would it take to get it into your favorites.

Anyway, LDW, I don't know if you can come up with anything unique enough to help you stand out from the other thousands of Democratic or liberal sites out there, and I don't really have any suggestions except don't make stuff up (except jokes) and keep a sense of humor about things.

Meanwhile, your first job is to set up your own parking page to get rid of Godaddy's. You might eventually want to dump Goddaddy if they are calling their Democratic links "Democrat" and happily advertising rightwing shit on your page. Doesn't look like they're much on our side.
