God Help Me. I'm getting hooked on Trump's "The Apprentice"

I usually avoid those so-called "reality shows" like the plague. But I caught a couple of episodes of the new one with Donald trump called "The Apprentice."

I should hate it. A bunch of budding yuppies vying to be the last one standing for the right for a job in Trump's empire. It epitomozes everything I dislike.

But still..It's actually kind of fascinating. I guess the basic idea is like Survivor and otehr shows like that, But it's an interesting
study in human nature and in business and organiations.

There's also an interesting paradox in it. It's divided into two teams, the boys and the girls.The members of each team all have to work together on projects against the oopposite team. At the same time, each individual is also competing with their own teammates as well as the competing team members to be the sole winner. So it becomes an intsresting study in divided loyalties.

Anyone else find it interesting, or should I ban myself from DU forever?

I love the show! :shrug: go figure!

Even though the show was moved to its "permanent" night - Wed -last week, I guess it got killed by Am Idol, so it's moving back to Thursday. Check your listings, of course.... :)

Studies have demonstrated that watching these types of shows actually cause your IQ to drop. That is a danger as it has also been proven that Republicans have a below average IQ. With your IQ dropping as we speak, I hope you stay true to the democratic party. God help you, and your brain.

The only reality show that I ever watched was The Osbournes. I cannot stand reality T.V. I think that it shows the worst aspects of human nature and everytime I see an ad for one I feel like going postal. I swear, if I had a gun, I would shoot the T.V. in the heat of passion whenever the ads came on.
