Police just came to my door.

I knew they weren't looking for me, but I still freaked out.

Neighbor's house got broken into. They've been swarming around here all morning.

He stood there for a good 10 seconds while I went to the door. I think the "Beware of Dog" signs posted all over had him wondering.

6. That freaks me out, too

I've gotten a few visits from officers looking for someone I've never heard of - perhaps a long-ago resident of the building:

Cop: "Is Joe Blow here?"
Me: "Sorry, there's no Joe Blow here - never heard of the guy."
Cop: (Long, suspicious, accusatory stare) "OK, thanks :sarcasm:. Sorry to bother you :sarcasm:. Have a nice night :sarcasm:."

7. It would freak me out too.

Too many "random encounters" with police end up with them being bullies and making people prove their subservience and blind obedience.

I'm always wary when cops are around. I know they're a necessary evil, but that doesn't make some of them any less evil.

that it takes a bit of a bully personality to become a cop. I'm always uneasy around them too.
