Sly and the Family Stone's "There's a Riot Goin On" - yay or nay?
If you ask me, this is one of his best - even though fans call it a mark of his descent into drugs and reclusion.

What's your thought?

2. The jams the band goes into on that album are awesome
And the fuzzy toned down no-treble sound they use was copied by many after this album. Of course that came from Sly dubbing and overdubbing the sound to get it just right, and was a by product, not the intended effect.

7. I actually bought this last week.
It's excellent -- I especially love "Space Cowboy" and "Thank You For Talkin' To Me, Africa."

I got the new, restored edition, and it has a few bonus tracks that are great as well.
