Mostly unnoticed albums that you want recognized
I mean unnoticed by the general public. Post them here. These are all ones I consider VERY good CDs:

Sugababes - Angels With Dirty Faces (in the U.S. at least)
All Corrs albums (in the US at least)
Laura Dawn - Believer
Letters To Cleo - Go
Kay Hanley - Cherry Marmalade
New Pornographers - Electric Version
Jo Davidson - Kiss Me There
M2M - The Big Room
Duncan Sheik - Daylight
Creeper Lagoon - Take Back The Universe And Give Me Yesterday
Shins - Chutes Too Narrow
Barenaked Ladies - Everything To Everyone
Leona Naess - I Tried To Rock You But You Would Only Roll, self-titled
Dar Williams - Beauty of the Rain (I think previous CDs of hers did ok in sales)
Painkillers - Medicine For The Soul
Kina - self-titled
Abra Moore - Strangest Places (No Fear never officially released)
Loreena McKennitt - Book Of Secrets
Nina Gordon - Tonight And The Rest Of My Life
Ron Sexsmith - Cobblestone Runway
Stella Soleil - Dirty Little Secret (huge guilty pleasure that's been missed)
Shana Morrison - 7 Wishes
Miranda Lee Richards - The Herethereafter
Sixpence None The Richer - Divine Discontent
Neil Finn - One All
Suzanne Vega - Songs In Red And Gray
Anna Waronker - Anna
Sherrie Austin - Followin' a Feelin', Streets Of Heaven
Kim Richey - self-titled and Rise
Regina Carter - Motor City Moments
Jayhawks - Hollywood Town Hall, Smile, Rainy Day Music
Lucy Woodward - While You Can
Kasey Chambers - The Captain, Barricades and Brickwalls
Bree Sharp - More BS (her first had the big single, so the album was known)
K's Choice - Cocoon Crash

More, but I have to go.

And I hope that Katy Rose and Mindy Smith get a lot of recognition for their upcoming albums..

3. Funniest cover song I ever heard/unnoticed albums
Edited on Thu Jan-22-04 04:11 PM by Loonman
"There She Goes" by Christian band, Sixpence None The Richer.

The song is a loving ode to Heroin.

As for unnoticed albums:

Farewell - Clan of Xymox{Great gothic rock never died}
On The Cross of Commerce - Low Pop Suicide
Influence - Sister Machine Gun

9. Scrawl, one of my favorite all female indie bands
they were reviewed in Rolling Stone once, but I think that was the end of it. Great live gutsy band. ALso like L-7. I agree with many of your initial choices - I hear them on our local alternative radio station, but that's about it.
