then I just space to some live Grateful Dead and hope I don't miss my exit. I'm about 50% successful.

COLD SHOT

By Recorded by "Stevie Ray Vaughan"

http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/pages/music_srv/cold_shot.html

Once was a sweet thang baby....Held out her lovin' in our hands
Now I reach to kiss your lips....The touch don't mean a thing
And that's a cold shot baby....Yeah that's a drag
A cold shot baby....I let our love go bad

Remember the way that you loved me....Do anything I said
Now I see you out somewhere....You won't give me the time of day
And that's a cold shot darlin'....Yeah that's a drag
And that's a cold shot baby....We let our love go bad

I really meant I was sorry....For ever causin' you pain
You showed your appreciation....By walkin' out anyway
And that's a cold shot baby....Yeah that's a drag
And that's a cold shot baby...We let our love go bad

So sad....Too bad....So sad
Don't let our true love run cold baby

Artist name: billy squier

Song name: emotions in motion

http://www.mp3lyrics.org/b/billy-squier/emotions-in-motion/

Bend your back by the light o' the sun
You come to the business--you're the number one
When twilight comes you're a runner in the night
It turns you on like a hot tail-light
Get down--you really get down--you never let down
Come down--you never come down--you never come down
Emotions in motion
Back street boy gonna sell you some sin
He'll wind you up--he gonna suck you in
The blood say yes--the mind say no
The voice in your ear say you go - go - go
Run down--you really run down--you really run down
Cool down--you never cool down--you better cool down
Emotions in motion
Give yourself to a life of extremes
You're into the action--it's a part of your dream
Now there're some things you never can tell
But when the door lies open throw your coins in the well
Get down--you really get down--you really get down
Right now--you want it right now--hold tight now
Emotions in motion

'Time For Me to Fly'

http://discography.speedwagon.com/database/showsong_new.pl?71

REO Speedwagon

I've been around for you
I've been up and down for you
But I just can't get any relief
I've swallowed my pride for you
I've lived and lied for you
But you still make me feel like a thief

You got me stealin' your love away
'Cause you never give it
Peeling the years away
And we can't relive it
I make you laugh
And you make me cry
I believe it's time for me to fly

You said we'd work it out
You said that you had no doubt
That deep down we were really in love
Oh, but I'm tired of holding on
To a feeling I know is gone
I do believe that I've had enough

I've had enough of the falseness
Of a worn out relation
Enough of the jealousy
And the intoleration
I make you laugh
And you make me cry
I believe it's time for me to fly

{Refrain} Time for me to fly
Oh, I've got to set myself free
Time for me to fly
And that's just how it's got to be
I know it hurts to say goodbye
But it's time for me to fly

Oh, don't you know it's...
{Refrain}

It's time for me to fly

{Repeat to end}

Words & Music Kevin Cronin 1978

Fly away

Lenny Kravitz Music

http://alwaysontherun.net/lenny.htm#5h

I wish that I could fly
Into the sky
So very high
Just like a dragonfly

I'd fly above the trees
Over the seas in all degrees
To anywhere I please

Oh I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah yeah yeah

Oh I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah yeah yeah

Let's go and see the stars
The milky way or even Mars
Where it could just be ours

Let's fade into the sun
Let your spirit fly
Where we are one
Just for a little fun
Oh oh oh yeah !

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah yeah yeah

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah yeah yeah

I got to get away
Feel I got to get away
Oh oh oh yeah

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah with you yeah yeah
Oh Yeah !

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah with you yeah yeah
I got to get away

I want to get away X4
Yeah
I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah with you yeah yeah
I got to get away

I want to get away X4
Yeah

I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah with you
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

18. of course there are all the southern rock songs, like
Ramblin Man, Pretty Little Love Song, etc. and all those, so I skipped them because that would be a whole long list and I'm tired.

So I will just go with this one:

Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xp9852hq0W0

(it drives me crazy how much the video for this completely sucks, lol)

Okay, now I'm hooked, I have to put a couple more:

Golden Earring - Twilight Zone (i.e. 'when the bullet hits the bone')
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1sf2CzEq0w

BOC - Don't Fear the Reaper
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZmuNFSenY8
(fanvid of Buffy, couldn't find the blasted band video, lol)

76. I'm outspoken in bits and pieces.
Not because I don't want to, but between working full-time, 4 kids, a stepkid, husband's job and school, about all I have left sometimes is my inane lounge posts. When I say something meaningful, I like it to be researched and well-written. Too often when I do, it sinks and fades anyway, so it gets hard to find the motivation. :(

59. Yes! LIke I said they really cook. Even though this isn't the classic Fillmore East lineup
they have a great rhythm section that makes this song move!
