2. Thanks! The dentist assistant actually told him that depending on how much stuff they clean up his
teeth may fall out! This after he said his teeth weren't loose. :scared:

Oh and not to mention what this bill will look like!!

:wow:

4. Thanks - I hope this will finally get him to stop smoking! I quit 7.5 years ago.
Of course lack of flossing and not seeing a dentist in over a decade didn't help. I finally made this appointment for him. How slow am I to figure out I am the one that needs to make the appointments for him?? :)

thinking about quitting. Have seen a dentist every 6 months all my life. I therefore have lovely teeth. I think I posted this before...Grateful Dead concert....1987...Philly....slipped and did a swan dive while dancing.....really bad result on my teeth. Knocked some out. Ended up in hotel in Allentown....asked the guy how much for one night...he said $200...I said thru my broken teeth.. .You gotta be Tithin' me....you futhin tithin' me?

At first he said he didn't have any rooms, and I said the same thing.

Called my dentist from Allentown friday night...he took me in on Saturday.

he said...Jesus christ...did you have a good time last night? I said "Yeth"..

sorry...I'm having a few drinks....

your husband will be fine...make sure you aggressively pursue his care.

7. Go to your local grocery store...
get an oral B electric toothbrush with a ROUND head. I use it, they are brilliant. My hygenist tells me she hardly gets anything off my teeth when she cleans them.

13. I am so fucking slow. :) Hubby lost his 2 front teeth as a drunken Dutch youth riding his bike into
a ditch at age 15.

10. Get a second opinion from someone not associated at all with this dentist
Edited on Fri Jun-29-07 09:52 PM by barb162
I was told I had it and went for another two opinions. Both opinions were I didn't have a trace of it. Dentists make a lot of money from treating it and sometimes have been known to tell people they have it when they don't. I never went back to my original dentist again, who I had been seeing for eight years. When I got home from that first dentist I looked it up and didn't have any of the signs, like red gums, etc. That's why I went for the second opinions.
