I think I cracked a rib while sneezing...
my back went out the other day, and in attempt to avoid the searing pain of sneezing with a bad back, I restrained the sneeze in such a way that I think I cracked a rib. It doesn't hurt as bad as last night, but it's still pretty damned uncomfortable.

Between that and the dog eating my glasses, this has been a lousy day.

2. My family has bad luck with sneezing.
My sister wrecked her car because she was sneezing.

My cousin slipped a disc in her back while sneezing.

I burst a blood vessel in my eye making the complete white of my eye turn blood red because of sneezing.

3. Ouch!
What do they do for a cracked rib? Do you have some kind of bandage around your middle? x(

Sorry that happened to you, MonkeyFunk. :(

5. well
I didn't go to a doctor - no point, really. Nothing seems out of place, and it's just gonna heal. Like a broken toe, I don't think there's much I can do.

Oh, and did I mention I stubbed my toe real bad while lurching around without my glasses and trying to avoid stepping on the dog?

8. See, now, you could have avoided all of these injuries if you had a cat instead of a dog.
A cat would have killed you for making that first sudden, lurching movement: no stubbed toe and no sneeze to lead to a cracked rib.

11. I Think The Moon Is In "Suck" (Again)
Mine blew chunks, too but sounds like it hurt less. Hope you feel better and that the cats stop laughing at you (good luck with that).

12. I'm sorry that happened Hope you feel better soon.
I put my back out last night. I fell out of bed while trying to avoid my dog, twisting my back pretty nicely. Now I have a sore back, and I'm hoping not to sneeze!

16. Ow!
I know what it's like to sneeze (or have hiccups) when your back is in raging pain. You will do almost anything to stay still and not move.

I hope you didn't really break anything. I hope you're feeling better very soon.

17. My wife had a cracked rib when she was pregnant
Actually my son kicked her so hard he cracked her rib (it all makes sense now--he is 11 and won the state youth wrestling tournament this spring and is starting middle linebacker on his middle school football team). Then she got bronchitis. So she couldn't have any drugs to take away the bronchitis or the pain. It was a brutal couple months.
