Possible scammers:
Edited on Mon Jan-19-04 05:08 PM by brainshrub
http://www.bushvote.com

Are they legit?

I asked because they want a reciprocal link on my website, but I don't know if they are a real PAC. If they are, I have no problem linking them to my site...but I don't want to support a scam.

Here is the email they sent me last night:

I'm one of the administrators at Bushvote.com
I thought it would be nice to introduce myself seeing as were both
in this to support a mutual cause.

I think what your doing is significant and I also think
that we could help each other. If you could post a Link to
BushVote.com on your site I would be more than happy to return
the favor.

Note: Bushvote.com is operated by the Take Back America Fund.
The site receives approximately 60,000 visits a day. Bushvote.com is a
non-profit site. It's primary goal is to allow people to securely make
contributions over the internet.

So what's the verdict? Are they for real or not?

P.S. (If you have a website & want to swap links, drop me a line: [email protected] )

2. I got a similar email...
asking me to exchange links on my website with them.

But I have no website. And they sent the email to my work address, which I don't use for personal correspondence.

I'm real suspicious of this place. Why would a supposedly anti-Bush site call itself "bushvote.com"?

3. I checked out the Better Business Bureau's site
But no luck - they weren't listed under their not-for-profits. If anyone else knows another way to look this up, I'd be interested as well.
