Why wasn't drivin'n'cryin' huge? Seriously
Were they in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Did they not translate well in arenas? (I admit I was kind of bored when I saw them in the Dean Dome open up for REM)

Was their name too difficult to spell and pronounce?

Bad management?

Bad luck?

I honestly don't understand it.

Watch this video, especially if you've never heard them and tell me that they weren't one of the most ass kicking bands ever. Turn your speakers up full blast

2. The Police, REM, early Stones, Nirvana
I'm as much of a music snob as the next guy but I can think of a lot of great bands that also had commercial success. Drivin'n'cryin' seemed quite accessible to me and that's what baffles me.

4. Exactly
A perfect, sing along, kareoke-type song, especially since it's best when you've been drinking
