Such as "Why didn't you buy the first two seasons of Star Trek TNG for the same price?"

1. Xvid is a fine codec. Having said that my question should be obvious.

Better turn in your DU bumpersticker. :P

Just kidding, of course. :)

I've never been to a Sam's Club. Is it like Costco?

5. From what I know of Costco,
Yes. They are very similar in concept. But some of the contracted brands are different.

There is no Costco even remotely close to home. Yet there are two Sam's. By a mileage savings of 62.5%. My next car will be a hybrid, and even with its more-than-doubling up of actual MPG, I'm not going to go the extra 50 miles round trip. It's no different than buying a low-fat product that has about 2/3rds fewer fat and calories, and then eating 3 times as much. The net result is still the same, if not more wasteful because I'm using more of the product.

What surprises me is how Sam's will do product demos of food items. I recall reading somewhere Costco does not. I prefer Costco's approach; half the food demoed to people smells icky anyway. Oh the food is probably good, but I don't eat certain types of meats or dishes and the smell of it makes me sick. (I avoid real sugar in drinks and other products too - the taste is just too strong, never mind other and more rational reasons...)

Costco does indeed do product demos.
Most of the items are very tasty, as Costco doesn't really stock junk. It is possible to have a decent lunch by sampling each of the demos.

You're right about the drive. It's too bad that Costco isn't closer to you, though.

12. Agreed.
On both counts. Sams has great food deals, though I am keeping aware of which companies to avoid and my local grocer also has deals that render a lot of Sam's pointless... (heck, my local grocer has food deals the local walmart supercenter is clearly fleecing people on by comparison, sheesh! Walmart's grocery isn't as special as people thought it might be...)

Though many of Sam's bulk deals are for common products and I've noted which ones are no real savings compared to the deals are regular places.

I've never really seen junk products there; only close-outs for discontinued stuff.

I'm waiting for Star Trek TNG to get down to $22 per season set as well... :)

One day I may venture to Minneapolis where it's said a costco exists, just to compare...

7. What does the crow on Ivonova's shoulder symbolize during the vision?
I don't know either.

Here is your happy fun guide:

There was a site about the visions, predictions, and foreshadowing in the series that was quite good; Google might bring it up.

To enjoy.

8. I've only seen season 1 and the Sinclair subplot in season 3...
Getting used to Sheridan is going to be a bit tricky...

10. You have a great deal of fun ahead of you.
Excepting some lackluster dialogue and acting at times, which is as forgivable as Dr. Who's monster costume budget due to the excellent quality of the story and the build-ups and the sudden jolts back to forshadowings... Great fun. Keep the popcorn machine warm because you might not be able to pull yourself away from the show.

11. I actually like Season 3 better..
I think its much more exiciting in some ways. But Season 4 is good. Actually I just got all the DVD's recently and am currently working my way through Season 4. There were a few episodes in season 4 and 5 that I missed and I want to see the whole story...

15. I certainly wouldn't ask THAT
The early episodes of Next Generation sucked ass! I'd take Bab 5 over those any day.

You musta seen them already though? I never watched them on TV, so I actually did get to watch them all, in order, when I bought all five seasons on DVD. (Not all at once though).
