If Karl Rove were a biological pathogen what kind would he be?

I think he is a particularly virulent and insidious species of slime-mold.

14. Necrotizing fasciitis: "The flesh-eating bacteria"
http://www.bact.wisc.edu:81/ScienceEd/stories/storyReader$89

<snip...>
Flesh-eating bug ate my face!「 one British tabloid screamed last year. The story took off like wildfire, with gruesome descriptions of limbs rotting in front of people』s eyes, faces melting away, and emergency amputations to save lives「 (Seachrist, 1995). Just another tabloid rumor, or something people should be losing sleep over? Dating back centuries, the bacteria Streptococcus pyogenes has been infecting humans with ailments ranging from minor skin infections such as impetigo, to a common illness known as strep throat. However, in rare instances the bacteria can invade the body with wrath, causing a very serious infection called necrotizing fasciitis, also dubbed −the flesh-eating bacteria「 (Todar, 2002). Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare and extremely life-threatening illness, which requires extensive treatment. This can sometimes necessitate amputation or result in severe disfigurement.

17. Clostridium difficile, the bane of hospitals everywhere
http://healthlink.mcw.edu/article/954992292.html

I believe it particularly applies to him because it's just a common, everyday lowlife bacteria that only causes an enormous, stinking mess when the environment of the colon gets out of balance.

Hard to get rid of, and a major annoyance.

That bug that lives under your toenails would be a good second choice, too.

smells bad and spreads everywhere (it's the pink stuff that grows on the inside of your toilet if you are a really BAD housekeeper.) Next time you see it, think of Karl Rove.

Although I was thinking of Psuedomonas aeruginosa, which grows in a nice green shade...and yes, it smells awful!

Pseudomonas also grows pretty well in soap dishes as well...eewwww.
