strangest dream ever: i dreamt of a corporate sponsored lesbian wedding

like that on the L-word. it was very weird.

1. That's the way it will have to happen.

Some corporations will decide that same-sex marriage is good for business, they'll market it to us, and their lobbyists will write the legislation to make it legal.

I imagine it'll have to be a reality TV show, one that will titillate us with attractive lesbians (lots of honeymoon shots that promise intimate moments without ever quite delivering), and then there'll be a huge but brief media controversy when they finally feature a male couple. Ratings will skyrocket, and then we'll move on to the next televised thrill. Somewhere in there, there'll be a gay marriage bill that might stand a chance of passing.

you've got a major corporation bankrolling it. Why should the children of corporate executives get all the perks. :P
