so, hypothetically, if you alert on a post, what is the procedure

5. it's case by case and each post is discussed by the mods who are online

at the time.

If there is a consensus the post is deleted. if there is no consensus by the mods online, the post stays up until a consensus is reached

depending on the time of day, it might take a while to get enough feedback for any action to be taken

if you alert a post and are confused on the result PM one of the mods of the forum where the post is. they are usually happy to address your concerns via PM

No. I think the alerts are just a heads up to the mods. I think there's some sort of mod forum, where they discuss stuff. However, alerts are just a request for something to be looked at.
