20. not necessarily
my uncle was born in 1929, died in 2002, age 73
his father was born in 1898, died in 1978, age 79
his father was born in 1875, died in 1942, age 67 (but he died in a car accident)
his father was born in 1853, died in 1929, age 75
his father was born in 1811, died in 1901, age 90
his father was born in 1779, died in 1846, age 67
his father was born in 1750, died unknown after 1798
his father was born in 1705, died in 1787, age 81

I find this modern notion, that we are gonna live longer, to not be backed up by the facts.

22. I don't think it's so much that we are living longer or not
I think it's that "youth culture" is practiced by older and older adults.

14. Buy and wear whatever makes you happy.
No one else has to wear it but you. I got a tie-dyed Jim Morrison t-shirt for my 30th birthday last year. I love it and wear it with pride. I love my Lizard King shirt.

Buy it! :bounce:

16. I think it's pathetic that you turned 40
It ain't the new 30, that just what the old folk say to get through the day

But really, I'm not a big fan of time, so you wear what you want. Pretty soon you won't be able to remember what you liked, and a t-shirt can be a helpful reminder O8)

you can pull off the Smiths. I love rock tees almost as much as I love women in rock tees.

21. NO. YOU ARE NOT PATHETIC.
Sorry to shout, but I also turned 40 last year, and I don't follow many of the "rules" for women our age. I wear what I feel good in, and that includes low-rise jeans, sequinned sandals, and peep-toe pumps. I'd wear a Smiths t-shirt in a heartbeat.

33. I'm 40, too
just turned 40 in December. I love The Smiths, but I'd feel weird wearing that t-shirt. Of course, I also have not bought a new piece of music since December of 1999 and couldn't tell you anybody that is in today's top 10, or last week's or last month's. I also don't own an iPod and don't listen to FM radio. So, I might also be a bit of an exception that way.

34. Hey, guess what.
Morrisey was at the Wells Fargo Center May 2 in Santa Rosa, CA and a fan rushed the stage and tore off his shirt, ripped it up and handed it out for other fans.

So you are not alone!
