11. I was washing them after every 2 wearings.
I was thinking I should go 3 times, as I feel like I spend half my life in the laundry room.

These guys in my apartment (5 MEN - uckkk) are having their jeans sent out EVERY SINGLE TIME they wear them.

I am being looked on as "ummmm, you look alot cleaner than you actually are".

I'm about to have a nervous breakdown. Make them go. :scared:

18. L, they're driving me crazy.
I was able to get them to go out tonight without me. I said I have a migraine.
The doorman keeps buzzing me (Delivery!) , because their jeans and other things seem to be getting delivered at 30 minute increments. There are too many people in my house. If you hear about a mass murder tomorrow in NYC, please remember me fondly.

30. Jeans sent out?
No, Karenca, this does not sound right. Wear them once? Send them out? Are they pressed too? These guys do not "get" the concept of "jeans".

Next you're going to tell us that their jeans actually fit!

(mine are baggy, a little "seasoned", probably need to go in the wash)

46. I'm with you!
If after a couple of weeks I notice I'm serving a couple of extra plates at dinner, and they're saying "thank you, ma'am"...or I'm actually buying them presents at Christmas...then I know it's time to put them in for a 45 minute drowning.

Really, it depends on the time of year.

As long as they're not dirty...I normally through my jeans through the fluff cycle of the dryer so they can have that clean fresh scent.

But washing jeans makes them shrink so I try and hold off as long as possible.

13. depends on how many hours i wear them on any given occasion
if I only wear them a few hours I may go 2 or 3 days

if I wear em all day, they go into the wash UNLESS i know I'll only need em for a couple hours the next day.

so the average for me is 3 partial days

partial = 4-6 hours

17. Depends
Some pairs stretch out after two wearings. If I'm doing something really messy, maybe one wearing. On the other hand, if I get muddy in the garden, I'm apt to grab the same pair for my next garden outing.

or to smell funky.

If they look and smell clean, they are clean.

I've never met a man who laundered his jeans after a single wearing. That is a very strange breed you have in your apartment.

22. Two to four times, depending on where I've worn them and what
I was doing. If I just wear them to work I can get 4 wearings out of them as a general rule if I change as soon as I get home and hang them up. I usually rotate 4-5 pairs of jeans/pants, so each pair has a few days between wearings.

I took a shower prior to putting them on, they can last 4 wearings. If I put them on without showering and ran errands or otherwise got sweaty, then only 2 times.

56. Well....
since I'm not working all day and hang around home in my nightshirt, I only wear "going out" clothes for a couple of hours at a time. This means a "day" of wearing a pair of jeans is about 3 hours only, and since I'm careful not to get them dirty, I carefully fold them when I get home and they're ready for the next time I go out.

If I continue to be careful with them, I can get a good week out of them, and after that, it gets iffy.

Since I've been losing weight as well, I try to get to Savers about once a month to pick up new jeans that are smaller than the previous batch. My Savers has both new and "gently used" at prices in the $5-$8 range, and since I'm short as well, they're often already altered and they're wearable straight from the rack.

But wearing a pair of jeans only ONCE and having them cleaned? Sheesh!! Are they involved in mud wrestling or jello wrestling or something equally filthy? That's just plain inconceivable!

or when they have noticeable stains on them.

OTOH, my teenagers throw theirs in the laundry every single time they wear them. Also their bathrobes. Also their bath towels. And everything else they wear.

This weekend, I am GOING to show them how to work a washing machine! Then we'll see how often they throw stuff in the hamper.

59. once or twice
Once if I've worn them all day, especially in the summer.

Twice if I've just worn them a few hours or in the winter.

They get put out on the clothesline (all day), especially in nice sunny weather.

I want my jeans to feel crisp and smell fresh before I wear 'em.

Since I hardly leave the house anymore other than driving to our stable... I wash them when they look dirty or smell like horses.
My good jeans are worn seldom and don't get washed too often, either, since I air them in between.
