Well, I guess since I don't have gout
I can go back to eating sushi at lunch...

I'm thinking a spider roll today.... or maybe a spicy tuna roll and a couple of pieces of shrimp nigiri.

Whatever is causing my foot troubles has decided to calm down this week. My primary care doc says that it's not gout and that I should go back to the podiatrist. I will call the foot guy, but not until I have another flare-up. I'm worried if it's not sore and inflamed, he'll have a harder time to diagnose it.

So.... sushi anyone? Oh, and hey... alcohol is back on the menu too (but probably not for lunch)

1. Do you wear comfortable shoes?

And make sure the shoes are big enough. Long ago, I wore a 7 1/2. I had a salesperson measure my feet and I measured as an 8.

2. I wear my running shoes
about 99% of the time.

3. Me too. At one time, the balls of my feet were getting sore from
standing too much on a concrete floor (with carpet thrown over it, which is probably what most floors are these days.). That's when I started wearing running/walking shoes at work all the time. I used to always wear insoles, too. Gel or those you buy at sports stores for playing tennis or sometimes similar.

4. I have some inserts that were made by the doctor
They cost me a small fortune, but I like how my feet feel w/ them in my shoes. I have bunions, and I think the inserts have been helpful in alleviating the bunion discomfort.
