It was only the most popular crime drama ever made.

I want to see every uncut, controversial episode!!

Book me, Danno!!!

1. The same day they release all the Droopy Dog cartoons on DVD!
And I dig both Droopy Dog and H5-O.

2. That would be a lot of DVDs
Wasn't that show on for over 10 years? It's on re-runs almost as much as Seinfeld.

There's a drinking game for it (like every other show) like drink when a large sedan speeds away, etc...

3. I believe it was on for 12 years: 1968-1980
Reruns are no longer available in my TV market. Back when they were, they were cut to ribbons for syndication. So much was cut for the extra commercials that the plots hardly made sense anymore.
:-(

Plus, I want to be able to see the episodes that were supressed due to "graphic" violence and sex.

4. I'd like to see those as well...
If it could air in 1970, but not 2004, there's got to be a goofy reason.

Heck, even the 1940s Bugs Bunny cartoons where Bugs eats a carrot and then shouts racial slurs at a certain WW II enemy shouldn't be banned. Though crude and unsavory and unlikeable, such censorship is still wrong.

And what the jello is wrong with Speedy Gonzalez?!

5. I think what happened was...
that the episode would air once, and if a torrent of hate mail resulted, it was then "supressed" and never aired again. From what I understand, when it went out for syndication, none of those supressed episodes were included in the packages.

Oh, to see them in all their tawdry glory!!!

9. Spike Lee...
...actually paid for the print restoration of the infamous "Coal Black and the Sebben Dwarves" Bob Clampett cartoon of the WW2 era, saying that allowing such records to disappear is to allow the memory of culturally-approved racism to disapprear with it.

7. I have seen a murder victim of a shotgun blast.
There was nothing above the jawline-that was over the ceiling and on the walls.

A fellow worker was shot to death at the Briggs & Stratton plant in Milwaukee where I worked at in the 70's. His name was Elmer Ice. He worked in the foundry. I ground crankshafts. I saw him die.

As a civilian I've been shot at 7 times, twice because of my race.

When I played drums in Clockwork Orange the bass player, Steve Rubick was shot and later died and John Schlosser, our guitarist was shot and wounded in a robbery attempt gone bad.

We were the Milwaukee based Clockwork Orange late sixties to winter 1970 when Steve was killed and John wounded.

I still play and want to be a studio musician, my wife is a bass player.

We are "the books banned" from Green Bay. We ARE EXPERIENCED lol.

6. I disagree
The Streets Of San Francisco was the greatest crime drama ever!

Followed by Columbo, then Kojak, then Dragnet and Adam 12....

8. What?
I would have thought you'd be waiting on the Addam's Family DVDs like me?

10. But of course, mon ami!
There are many, many things that I impatiently await on DVD.

Right now Hawaii 5-0 is on my mind, because a friend of mine brought me a VHS of some episodes taped from the Family Channel. It is a crime, what has been done to those episodes! McGarrett needs to arrest them immediately!
