Write a novel, short story, poem, essay, or article. When you're done, write another one.

Register for a class.

Pick at least two of the above, and you'll be far too busy for DU.

I'm always choosing DU instead of the above options. I mean, I used to be a prolific reader, I have a million hobbies, I used to write for pleasure and I'm currently enrolled in a class where I procrastinate and procrastinate until I have to do everything in the two nights before an exam. If the sun would just show up I'd feel forced to go outside and mess with the garden but we still have snow on the ground in places, and in the rest of the places it's just mud.

A new hobby. I'm going to think about it. Thanks!

I took a month-long hiatus after a near-stoning. I don't think anybody noticed though as I was mostly a lurker before that. I didn't post, I didn't read my PMs, I didn't even log-on. It was just that sort of a time.

I don't recommend that course of action. I think everybody here should take a hiatus time-to-time to pursue other interests.
