Ever kick anybody in the balls?
Tony Soprano just kicked some kid in the balls.

When I was about 12 I was sent to stay with a family in Quebec in order to learn French (didn't happen - they knew too much English). The first night the boys wanted to roughhouse and I didn't understand what was going on and didn't like being pushed around so I kneed one of them in the balls. The other brother started in on me and I was just about to knee him too when his father pulled him off and told them to leave me alone.

1. I kicked a boy in the balls in the 8th grade
He was sexually harassing one of my best friends and I warned him.

2. By accident, one or two times.
Happens when you do martial arts sometimes. Felt -really- bad about it. Had that happen to me too, but I was wearing a cup in all instances, which kind of helped.

4. at a karate tournament
on Sunday a little 7-year-old boy got kicked in the goods. The poor kid actually howled in pain. But you know what, he sat down for a few minutes and then got up and continued the match.

5. It's amazing how resiliant they are
My son was in a soccer game on Saturday. Another kid got a ball right in the head - a total line drive. I'd have demanded to go to the hospital just on principle alone. He got up after 30 seconds and went right on playing.

9. My golf ball almost did once...
I was playing mini-golf on a course that required a wedge club to lift the ball about 4 ft from the ground a short distance from the tee. Unfortunately, when I whacked the ball, instead of entering the intended area, it smacked into a post and bounced back at the golfer in back of me. Luckily, he was a good jumper.

I let him play through the next hole...

11. One day my brother was drying off from a bath.
He was 11, 2 year older than me. As he lay naked on his bed in his room drying off, I crept silently to the slowly draining tub with a pair of socks. I put one sock in the bottom of the other and got them nice and wet in the draining bathwater. I then charged into his room and swung the sock at him hitting him square in the scrotum. He later claimed that it had felt like his scrotum was going to fly over his head. People always ask what he did for revenge, but his reply is "Sometimes there is no revenge, only pain"

12. For you ladies -
It's hard to describe the sensation of pain from such an event - maybe like a few minutes of intense childbirth? (hard to compare since I'm a man) Believe ot or not, it's even more painful when the blow catches just one nut hanging (see Webster's definition: to "catch a hanger"). Happens frequently to men & boys not wearing jocks, via soccer & basketballs.

I would suggest delivering a male-genital blow (uhh...attack) only under circumstances of self-defense, or maybe anger to your S.O. who's been a REALLY bad boy.

17. You're so right about the one-nut rule
I had an accidental slap hurt more than a full on kick, although the kick left me sore for a couple days. But that's ok, I got him back, I can't say how online.

18. DSI - what are you doing up at this unholy hour?
Glad you're usually around to crack me up.

Just tiptoed into GD and wound up spiralling a thread with Organism on how the corporistas plan on shredding all social programs and enforcing total techno-globalization, complete with peasant population reduction of 3 billion unneccessary bodies.

I need some levity!

Had an early night last night (10:30), it's so cold here I had to wake up an hour early to dig a shallow grave.

just how cold is it there? FYI, if you're in northern New England, I'll bet I've stomped there (30-45 years ago).

14. A few times. But even more cunningly, while playing football:
I've pulled the nasty trick of shooting the balls into an opponent's goolies a few times when the situation has called for it. There's no way you can be punished for it (hey, all you did was attempt a pass, or a shot, it's not *your* fault!), and it's just so effective.

Then again, it's happened to me a couple of times as well. Just thinking about the pain makes me whinge.

16. Yes!
Kids used to pick on me terribly when I was in elementary school. One of the kids, deciding I wasn't suffering enough from his verbal slings, attacked me during recess. I kicked him in the nuts three times in a row. He got this funny sort of look on his face, said "Don't do that again" and walked away bow-legged. It was a proud moment.

I was a nerd as a kid and the other kids used to tease me and kick my ass on the bus on the way home. The busdriver just used to laugh.

when we were on R and R in Saigon in 1971. I was behind the guy and I kicked him in the nuts and cracked him over the head with my beer bottle. Then we both ran like hell.
