Tax due date...
I am hearing that taxes can actually be filed on the 17 this year because of a holiday in DC. Has anyone heard this?

3. Yep. April 16th is "Emancipation Day" in Washington D.C.
It's evidently a significant enough holiday that the tax people in the nation's capitol don't plan to come to work.

It doesn't happen very often that the 15th and 16th fall on Sunday and Monday, so enjoy your extra two days.
