When I first heard the beatles version I thought, "A punk cover of that would be awesome." Then I heard it in a pub yesterday, and thought it was new... I asked the waitress and when she told me it was the Jam I was like "Shit!"

2. Actually, that was a Larry Williams tune first

He did some pretty heavy rockers in the late 50s. I liked that Jam version though. Some of that early punk was pretty funny, but not really in a good way.
