I still say Favre and McNair are........
the two toughest SOB's in the NFL. I'd want either one of them leading my team anytime.

That being said, they both became too tentative in the second halves of their games this weekend. You gotta be aggressive and on the fight if you want to win.

I think I'm going for a Panthers-Colts Superbowl. Something different and pretty unexpected 5 months ago.

1. Damn straight.
I'm looking to a Colts-Panthers SB as well. Colts look TIGHT, and the Panthers played great football on Saturday (meanwhile, McNabb was the only Eagle who looked good yesterday -- unfortunately, my Packers were just a little bit worse).

2. I'm incredibly pissed
at the Packers' coach right now. In the 4th quarter, they were up by 3, they were 4th-and-1, and he decided to punt even though their running game had picked-up some steam. What an idiot!

4. He coached an awful game
They missed out on several 3rd and 2's or 3rd and 3's, because he stayed away from the running game. Ahman Green was averaging over 5 yards a carry, I think in those situations you give your back -the top guy in the NFC- a chance to move the chains. Poor coaching. He really blew it.

21. Absolutely right
Not to mention the absolutley awful defensive playcalling - Green Bay stayed in it because, for once, their secondary stepped up and played fantastic. I mean, who the hell calls a 4-3 cover 2 on 4th and long? Sheesh.

3. yeah
Favre was gutsy as hell right up until that inexplicable pass at the end. and McNabb showed elway type guts at the end.

I don't know that either the eagles or panthers will be able to beat the AFC team though. and i'm an eagles fan.

6. I'll take Tom Brady
as my tough son of a bitch. No sliding, and did we see the awesome block he made to help the team out against TN? McNair is real tough (on Sundays). It amazes me how his injuries are all healed at game time.

McNabb V Brady in the Superbowl. The beat up Eagles squeak out a win against the only team in the AFC worthy of a Super Bowl berth.

9. He whines and cries after every game he loses...
he's always whining about his thumb (most other players who are injured don't whine about his injury). Whenever he does a crappy play, he always grabs onto his thumb and blame that, not himself. He takes off his helmet right on the field-and that's a major penalty (though he rarely gets called for it. :grr:)

Want me to keep going?

Are you blind? Do you not watch? Anyone here on the DU can point out what I mean. Sheesh.

How do you want me to back up my claims? You want to jump into my head and see what I have seen when I watched Favre play?

And watch lots of his interviews. I have never once heard him whine about anything. So either back up your claim or keep acting like Pete Rose.

20. Thanks for trolling --
I asked you to prove your claims, you couldn't. You can't because they're not true. It's as simple as that. You can keep trolling all you want, but it's not going to change anything. Favre is among the toughest to ever play the game. You hate that reality for some reason. I guess it's time for you to learn to live with it.

Bye. Bye.

37. Sir, please confine your idiotic and biased remarks to yourself
You are from Minnesota, so I can easily surmise that you are a Viking fan. I also see that you are 21, so you have quite possibly not been paying as much attention to Favre throughout his career as the rest of us.

When Favre started his first game in Green Bay, you were 9. Since then, you have graduated from middle school, jr high and high school and started college. Favre, on the other hand, has started 208 consecutive games (counting playoffs), set many Packer records and several NFL records, been NFL MVP three times, won a Super Bowl and become one of the greatest QBs of all time.

So, you're a Vikes fan and maybe you don't like the fact that Favre has pretty regularly kept your team out of the playoffs. Get over it. He's a great QB, and your opinion means nothing to those of us who can look at his record objectively.

24. I still think it had nothing to do with Favre, or shouldn't have. Sherman
should be canned for not going for it and ending the game there.

That and the defense of the Packers played too soft. Favre had nothing to do with it until that interception...which shouldn't have happened if the coach had called the shots right.

Sherman went for it when he shouldn't have, didn't when he should have and called one bizarre defense for a 4th and 26 play. He choked.

36. It was only a matter of time before one of Farve's throw-ups would be
picked off. Don't hear much about the receivers who have saved Farve's butt on more than two occassions. I like Farve but he has been extremely lucky to have some really good receivers who can jump and fight for the ball. Yesterday, the throw was just too bad for the receiver to do anything about it. Great game. Stupid Green Bay coach.
