Ali-G... I feel so stupid

I don't keep up with popular culture, partly because it's silly at my age, but I've been baffled that ass-clown Ali-G gets any play on any media anywhere. He's such a fucking loser.

Just minutes ago I learned who he is. Just seeing his real name made it all click. Now I get it.

Duh! Big time.

Sacha Baron Cohen is an actor/comedian/satirist who has several characters. Ali-G, Borat, Bruno. He's a highly educated liberal who did his masters degree work in history in England on the American Civil Rights movement. Fascinating man, very subtle witt. Some see him as a clown more than a satirist, but they miss what he's doing, similar to those who think Colbert is a conservative.

I thought Ali-G was a real rapper or something. I didn't know until today that he was Cohen. As a real rapper, he'd be unbearable, but as a comedian, I get it.

I'm late to the whole party, too. I loved his role in Talladega Nights, so I did a bit of research on him afterwards.

and I have no idea what channel it's on or when (he tivos). He's also a huge Food Channel fan and a fantastic cook! :hi:
