I was thinking, earlier tonight, on my way home from the store...
While listening to some great rock.....

That no matter how old I might get....and I hope to live many years...

I will never ever have an old attitude.....

I won't think old..

Act old...

Or be old, in any way, except for years!

How about all of you?

Who's with me tonight?

2. My dear lildreamer!
I can wait to get older, since I'm already mostly there, being 63...

But as for the rest of it......

Welcome aboard!

9. I think I will value
Edited on Sat Mar-24-07 10:44 PM by lildreamer316
the wisdom and inner peace that seems to more often come with age than the anxiousness and insecurity of youth.
Of course; I am a strict Leo, so this losing the beauty of youth dosen't always sit with me as well as it should, but I'm sure I'll be ok.

Oh, and it helps to have a younger husband who adores me! (and I him).

Have young friends, and treat them with the same respect as you treat your old friends. It will help to keep you young!

8. It's a choice.
Some people decide they're "old" when they turn thirty. Such people often put aside joy, enthusiasm, curiosity and personal fulfillment believing that such things are unbecoming or immature. Not me, baby. I'm with you Peg, all the way. :bounce:

Glad you're with me.....

today, even though I asked her if it wouldn't be embarassing for her to be seen in the company of a limping old coot.

She said no, I should come with her anyway.

I'd better not trip over it in the middle of the night, is all I have to say on that!

29. I came to that conclusion long ago.
I may have "different" fun than I used to, but it's far richer because I know more and know how to enjoy it more. My taste in music hasn't changed- it's expanded. I enjoy a far wider range of things than I used to.

I'll shortly be 52, but I don't plan to grow up for another eighteen years. Then I'll consider mellowing out a bit.

A SMALL bit.

You're about thirty four now, aren't you? Still quite the young looker. I don't blame you for wanting to party down!

25 is a good age......body and mind are (or should be) in pretty good shape!

We all need reminders.....

Getting older does make me more aware of my own attitudes...

Not as much time left to do things, or to realize my dreams...

Thank you for contributing here for all of us tonight!

36. Right there too!
I've seen friends start to get old and "square" in their 30's and pretty much accomplish the task by the time they were 50.

One of my favorite people was a man who died a couple years ago at 91. He was able to see the absurdity in the absurd, he knew how to be objective, and was still curious as a cat. He was one of the hippest dudes anyone could know.

He did it right.
