Poll question: How many of y'all take the homeland security color code seriously?

How often do you get concerned or relieved when a color is changed?

Personally, I never care either way. See no reason to crap my pants if the level goes up or to cheer when it goes down. Threat always exists, we need to deal with it with a level head and not unbridled fear.

Besides, I wouldn't know if it was raised to "red alert" anyway. I don't watch the corporate fascist media. (freedom of speech isn't real freedom when they all parrot the same thing and anyone else is frowned upon...)

I take it seriously because I know they only raise it to hide some horrible thing they're gonna do to us while we aren't looking. It's my cue to go digging through the news to figure out exactly how I'm getting fucked this time.

Silly me. All this time I thought they were Gay Pride warning levels.

9. I'm not concerned, I'm not relieved.

I'm disgusted at this transparent manipulation, "Oh, you're in danger! Watch everything carefully! Be vigilant! Only, we can't tell you anything! Just be afraid and TRUST US!" The only threat, in my little world, is this administration. Certainly not the unnamed "other".
