Computer question
So since daylight savings time has been changed and that will mess with all our electronics, I went on Microsoft's website to see what support they could give my old computer. My computer runs Windows ME and, gosh, they are not going to provide an update for me. I know, I'm shocked too. So my question to all the computer people in the know, is there a patch for this out there? Or can I just leave this alone and not have it blow? I'm ok with changing times manually, I just don't want it to die on me now basically is what I'm saying.

1. dude, remember Y2k when planes fell from the sky and machines attacked us?
Neither do I. Nothing will happen except you will be late for a few weeks if you go by your PCs time.

2. I know I'm easily influenced by media
This would just be one of those things I would want to prevent if I could since a new computer is not in the books for another, oh, say, decade. I was hoping it would just be this stupid.

3. Windows ME and earlier are no longer supported.
You might be able to use the time zone editor tool, but I doubt it. CHange your time zone for a few weeks.

4. Yeah I knew it wasn't being supported anymore
But I guess I was hoping they would do the right thing. As long as its not going to blow up, I'm just going to let it continue thinking its whatever time it wants to think and be ok with that.

5. I would take a look at this..
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914387

But really, I would just change the time manually.. Nothing bad will happen if you do.

6. I have ME and am just going to leave it alone.
It's only the home computer and used for email and games.

Not worth bothering with.

7. Well, ME stands for Might Explode,
so there's no net increase in risk due to this change.
