another adopted son. sigh.
my middle kid, 19, is a cute, outgoing kid. she always has a boyfriend. after a while, they make themselves at home. we get to like them, then they break up. there have been some real good kids, a couple of whom still come around to visit.
flavor of the month is down in my family room, playing guitar hero. he sleeps here more often than his own place. i have been educating him about the evils of our junta. he is starting to grow on me. he'll probably start calling me mom any day now.
must be about time to break up. sigh

1. That has happened to us, too.
We have become really attached to former girlfriends (I have sons), and they start to feel like part of the family. We always included them in holidays and birthday celebrations, etc. Then, >poof< they are gone! I have so many "family" photos that include old girlfriends! LOL

It's really nice that the boys feel so welcome and comfortable in your home. I always encouraged the kids to hang out at our place, too. I felt reassured that at least I knew where they were and what they were doing.

2. We had one for almost three years
From the time my daughter was 16 until last summer. He was like part of the family. We loved him like he was one of our own. He also stayed here most of the time. We still miss him something terrible. It's been a huge loss.

My daughter has a new boyfriend but I honestly don't want to get attached to another one. :hi:
