Will Bill Clinton ever guest host SNL?
I have heard it talked about before, but I don't know if he has ever been seriously approached by the show's producers. I think it would be a ratings bonanza, far surpassing even the very high ratings Al Gore's guest hosting won. Clinton was always very good with comedy in his speeches at the WH Correspondents Dinners and in that skit he filmed for the 2000 dinner.

2. Not this year, I hope
It stinks, stinks, stinks. They had Al Sharpton, and it still stunk. Bad as it's ever been, and I have watched it from the start. Yes, worse than the early '80s. Bill is too smart to get on the show now. Fire the writers and half the cast, and we'll see.

4. Word. However,
I don't know for sure if it's really that the cast is bad or just that no one is providing any real direction. I think Jimmy Fallon and even Horatio Sanz can be funny, but this irritating wink-wink thing they in particular have, laughing at how bad their sketch is rather than trying to make it funnier, was best left to Harvey Korman 30 years ago. I want to bitch slap them when they do that--okay Jimmy, we get it, you're too cool for the room. Got it. Nice album...

I think Mya Rudolph, Rachel Draitch, and the blonde (?) are some of the funniest and best mimics I've ever seen on the show, when they're given funny dialogue to perform.

Hammond is great, but they've all but neutered him. The occasional Chris Matthews skit proves his deserving of the Ackroyd/Hartman mantle, but he is absent for entire eps nowadays...

They are missing Will Ferrell terribly. I know I am. He was a guarantee of laughs, no matter how lame the sketch.

Also, if you leave the show, leave! How many times has Chris Kattan popped up this season? And after the send-off he got (which, interestingly, was denied Tracy Morgan) at the end of last season. Nice career choice, Corky.

3. I think he might.
I can actually see that. I always thought that Clinton had a flair for performing before an audience...his State of the Union speeches were very theatrical, I thought.

Yeah...I can see Clinton doing SNL. :-)
