I spoke these words moments ago, when I realized that I had knocked plug at the end of the power cord for my electric razor into half-inch deep water at the bottom of the sink while washing my hands.

The plug at the other end was plugged into the wall socket.

Not only am I alive, but none of the circuit breakers flipped.

Time for bed.

2. It gets better.

It was a reciprocating clipper. I bought it yesterday night because yesterday morning, one of the rebound springs on my old one broke. I intended to buy the same model as my old one, but I saw this one first and it was five dollars cheaper.

The power cord for the new one has an adapter at the wall plug, which likely contains safety measures.

The power cord for old one, which I used until yesterday morning, nearly bought another one of, and had plugged into that very same wall socket until two hours ago, has no safety features. It's just a wire.
