I saw an ad on TV for the Alliance Defense Fund

The RW defense group.

They featured all of these great speeches done by the likes of JFK, Martin Luther King, etc. but bleeped out the word "God" like it's a dirty word.

Then the commercial went on to say that by taking "God" out of our everyday life our culture has gone downhill and that there are people out there that want to keep "God" out of mainstream culture.

This is the first time I saw this ad, has anyone else seen it?

1. Didn't see the ad, but it doesn't surprise me that they would use those tactics

Alliance Defense Fund is one of the groups that Bill O'Reilly likes to push when he is on one of his anti-ACLU rants. Like the ACLU fights for civil rights in court, groups like this fight for the radical religious right and against civil rights in court! The commercial is misleading because those of us who support church-state separation do not want to take God out of everyday life! We just want to uphold the 1st Amendment by keeping religion and government separate.

2. That is right and that commercial was misleading

so you can see why my blood pressure might have raised up a bit when I saw the ad. Of course I couldn't say anything because I was at my mom's house and she tends to agree with them on that issue.
