It's much quieter than my old one.

3. Did Scotty crash his shuttle craft into yet?
Just wait, he will, he often knocks back a few too many on inter-stellar missions.

5. And just how many solar systems were destroyed
to build your sphere? All of that material doesn't grow on trees! I hope no sentient life forms were on any of the thousands of planets that were shredded to provide the raw material for your new play toy.

6. Don't worry I'll use CFL light bulbs once the incandesants burn out.
And as far as the multiple solar systems worth of matter that had to be transmuted to build it... well, hey haven't you ever heard of recycling?

10. Yes, if only it were stable without hundreds of thousands of
impossibly efficient hydrogen ram motors poisoning MILLIONS of innocent citizens...

:) Yes I'm a geek.

12. The Ring World's unstable! The Ring World's unstable!
neener neener NEEN-er!

How about Cylinder World instead? Like a Ringworld, but a lot taller. It would have naturally cooler climes on the top and bottom of the cylinder. Just move five or ten million miles up the rotational axis. Give U-Haul a call...

25. I don't trust Hollywood to do his stories
They will muck it up. Wow, I've never seen a representation of a Pak protector before. It was instantly recognizable nonetheless.

I wish there was a studio that could do the first Ringworld book without making an abomination.

27. Yeah, Hollywood would screw it up
but an independent company like Jackson's WingNut Films could pull it off.

The image of the Protector is the artwork from a recent printing. The Protector would be easy to pull off. The Pierson's Puppeteer... not so much.

18. Ah, that's your problem. You have to park IN the sphere
So the artificial gravity will hold you to the inside! :-)

19. I checked there first, but all the spots were taken.
I thought I'd find a space at the "Park n' Tunnel" on the surface, but that was full too.

22. Unfortunately, a civilization advanced enough to have...
...created a Dyson sphere long ago conquered mere physical incapacity. As a result, there are no disabled spaces.
