This afternoon, my friend made a batch of homemade, from scratch cream of chicken soup for me, made with real cream, freshly sliced carrots, fresh herbs and huge chunks of chicken. She delivered it with a loaf of warm French bread and a bagful of magazines for me. I have orange juice and TheraFlu, and she offered to come over tomorrow and vacuum and dust and tidy up for me so that I'll relax better (she knows me, and she knows I hate to skip housework).

Neither she nor my husband thinks I should go to work tomorrow.

The soup is delicious.

I know how good that tastes! My SO made homemade chicken soup for me the last time I had the flu. She labored over it for hours, and it was simply divine. That's a real friend.
