I hate that these two events ALWAYS conflict.

For that reason... I wish I had the strength to not watch. :P

5. Hmmmm...
maybe it's cause I watch repeats... but the kids & I always get so miffed cause they will show the little doggie in the first segment (at the start of the miniature round) and we'll see it running around out there, but it always gets cut out of the 'spotlight' (evaluation & showing).

We keep watching & hoping though!

The others (larger ones) are foxhounds, etc.

12. Oh dear - this reminds me of a story
My ex husband had a male Boxer and one day the ex was sitting around with a friend watching football. The Boxer, oblivious to everyone, proceeded to lick himself enthusiastically in a, shall we say, private region.

My ex turns to his friend, nudges him and says, "Don't you wish you could do that?" His friends agrees so ex tells him,

"Well, pet him first. Maybe he'll let you."

17. I have a theory on bulldogs
they are said to have a very sweet nature, and I think that's because they know w/ a face like that, no one would feed them unless they were very sweet.

do you ever watch The Dog Whisperer?

The hardest I've ever seen Cesar Millan work was with bulldogs. They may be sweet, but evidently they're stubborn as hell.

26. I got one and saw Ceasar and it is true
Until they reach the age of about 3 they are incorrigible. Once they get some age on them they are a much better pet. Yes, my dog loved any kid on a bike, skates, skate boards. Mine would roll a basket ball all over our pasture until I just knew he would die and yet wouldn't quit until we divised a diversion from the ball. They are sweet, likes everyone, snore, are a vets dream. They are a dog that you can't live with and can't live without. Mine is over 11 years and he is in a constant state of repair. He had surgery in Oct., lost his manhood and had eye lid fixed. Then a few weeks ago he had some radical infection and after giving him some antibiotics left over from ? and ear and eye meds he is great now. Been that way for at least a week. I feel lucky. Just love the dog to death but would not buy another. What's weird is when he is healthy he looks good. They usually don't live past 8 years.

28. That one is excellent looking! Seldom see them that nice
on exhibition at shows. Really nice head and ears. Course they only show them for seconds and go on to the others. I have one that is far from show quality but has a nice looking head, ha ha, well, it's all in the eyes of the beholder....

Mark my words. Great dog, notwithstanding the politics. But the judge will not want to have a terrier win two years in a row. He will have no other choice.

39. I love Westminster, but I have one complaint!
The corgis are the very last breed shown. The herding group is last, and corgis are the smallest of that group, so they are last. Plus, I have never seen a corgi take group. Seems like it's always the German Shepherd Dog.

Oh well! I know the corgis are the best! LOL

My prediction: the Peke will win or place in Toys. Pekes always win, but I don't know why!

Did they have the Hound Group yet? A friend of mine is there with her Ibizan Hound, and I'm curious whether she made it onto TV.

One day my breed will be AKC recognized too, and I'll be there.... :)

48. We were asked if our pug could "model" last week
"snort" And then the woman asked if our pug would mind "putting on outfits" for pictures. We were like "yeah, as long as she can keep the wardrobe." Truly, we hold a piece of doggy clothing up to our pug, and her front legs start going up and down! She actually has a "little black dress" for special occassions! Of course, she looks like a pig in silk!

My life is very mundane!
