Today the word "group" looks fundamentally misspelled to me
What words, to you, seem likewise inherently goofy that way?

4. I occassionally spell it "vaccuum," myself
They seldom slip into my finished writing, but during the draft phase these errors are insidious!

3. yes and it drives me nuts when that happens.
It's a common occurrence for me (there's one I never know if it's right, 'occurrence') to look at it too much and then it becomes foreign. Exercise is another word I have a really, really hard time spelling.
