So I Went To My First Yoga Class...

It was fun

there's a bunch of other yoga classes I can go to during the week.

Anyone do yoga here?

What the hell is the strap for?

27. Beginners?
What? Only beginners fart? Or only beginners care about it?

I just assumed that yoga and farting go together.

What's the rubber band for? When you fart, just hold the band and look at it funny, like it made that noise. Everyone will buy that.

:roff: Dang, no smilie for "rolling on the floor farting"

11. See? That's why I could never do yoga.
Farts always make me laugh, regardless of the situation.

2. What kind?
I did Bikram for a while. Until I got a plantar wart that I'm pretty sure is because of the studio.

5. I would like to take a yoga class, but my gym only offers two a week.
One is during my normal working hours, and the other is too late at night to be convenient.

The strap is for extending how far your arms can stretch.

8. my wife is a yoga teacher...
she teaches Svaroopa yoga...It's mostly about relaxation, reducing stress, and improving the functions of internal organs--not so much about getting fit or exercise. Most of her students are in their mid-40s and older. I'm not into it myself--too lazy/busy--but I probably should give it a try.

23. That's really cool
I've only read about Svaroopa yoga, never taken a class but I'd like to. I'm (very slowly) studying to be an Anusara yoga teacher myself. :)
