2. Evolution.
I got my big brain for the express purpose of keeping track of all you back-stabbing, cowardly, foolhardy, brave, beautiful and wise fellow humans, and managing all of the possible interrelationships.

3. For the most part, no. But
there are times when I do. I think it is just human nature!

5. Most often No. It depends if I respect or admire the person..
if I do then I care a great deal what they think of me.

6. Not particularly....at my age (late 40s) life is too short to
waste your time trying to make yourself into what someone else will approve of. I'm me...the people who like and love me seem to be able to live with that.

7. I'm afraid not, for the most part.
I care what my friends think, and I'm fortunate enough to have friends that will tell me (in a loving, caring way, not in a shaming, wounding way) when I am wrong, or when they think I am off the path. But because my childhood was so caustic (sexual abuse, probably from infancy until the age of ten or so and all the emotional and psychological abuse that goes along with that) I had to shut down that part of myself to survive emotionally and mentally. It sometimes works to my disadvantage because there are probably times I could join in sitautions or be a part of a group that I don't because I'm such a loner. That being said, high school psych-ops do not work on me; i.e. "I just told everyone you did xyz and now the entire hivemind thinks you suck". That kind of thing doesn't register within me, it got burned out of me around 25 or 30 years ago.

11. Yes and no
If I long to be accepted by someone I do..and I hate it when that happens, because I'll make a fool out of myself. :-(

On the other hand, when I don't care, I really don't care! :hi:

12. No
Caring what others think about you lets them define who you are, instead of you doing it yourself.

13. No. I am who I am, and if they like it, fine. If not, fine too.
:) I'm just fine with who I am, and that's what counts.

21. Absolutely
It bothers me when people prejudge me.
In real life or even here.
I have had people in the past and maybe in the present write me off as a jerk or a freak.
Without even knowing what type of person i actually am.
I care about people and i think i am a good person and a nice guy.
Everyone wants to be liked.

22. Sure I do.
I care what my family thinks of me - I love them, and their opinions matter.

I care what my friends think of me - my friends are good to me, and I strive to be good to them.

I care what my employers think of me - I believe I do a great job, and I'd like them to believe so too.

Do I care what some random stranger somewhere thinks of me? Not especially, no.
