I'm weird, I guess.
It is, after all, just a football game.

Watching the local news.

1. Of course you're weird!
That's why I call you "Lovable-Weird-Friend-Terry".

On topic: I'm gonna watch the game, but don't really care who wins. I'm hoping for a good, close, exciting game, and I don't care who wins (i.e. the Bengals/Browns aren't in it). I only go nuts about OSU football and Reds baseball.

2. Well, I try to live up to that, Blue-Jay.

I've tried to be interested in football...I've tried. But it just ain't happening.

And...the gays version of the Superbowl will take place in about a month. In Hollywood. We act pretty goofy about that event. :-)

3. It's my upbringing, I suppose.
When I was a kid, the members of the Big Red Machine were gods to me. I played football and baseball in Jr and Sr high school too. Football was fun until I got my knee turned inside-out.

4. I don't "get" football, but will be watching with the family at the triplets' house.
Though I do plan to leave before the end of the game because Monday is a work day and I don't want to be out driving the six miles back here when the drunks are leaving the bars. The town I live in has lots of Irish bars and they will be PACKED tomorrow with people pouring back the booze.

That said, I hope the Bears win. Two weeks ago when we were watching the last playoff game, every time the Bears did something good (I usually can't tell until I see the score) and some of the attendees went nuts shouting and applauding, the dog would come to me for comfort. :)

6. I hope you have a good time tomorrow!
I hope the Bears win, also. I'm not a complete cretin about this. :-)

Good point about the drunks being out tomorrow. They sure will be out in force.

7. The cold won't deter the drunks.
I have to wonder how many people will be tailgating in the Soldier Field parking lot.

I will have fun...the triplets will be there :bounce: as well as some of my niece's neighbors, who have two little girls (aged 3 and 1) of their own.

I HATE this weather.

9. Yes, but wee doggie, those commercials are a hoot.
That's why I watch.

Of course, my house will be overrun with teenagers today for the game, but that's okay. I watch for the commercials.

Throw back to my days in marketing and advertising I guess.

10. The game begins after 3, but the pre-game hype begins at 8 am.
More coverage of a sports game than actual events taking place in the world.

Ok... I'm sounding like a drag. Off to GD!
