My best friend said my offspring are "Lady and the Tramp" kids.

It's true, though. I'm pasty white and my husband's very dark and black-haired.
The boys look just like him and the girl is just like me.

If you've got spawn, do they appear a mix, or do they strongly favor one parent?

1. Most people say my son looks like my husband and my daughter looks like me.
Actually, most people say both of my daughters look like me, but the older one is a dead ringer for her dad.

3. I wonder if there's a pattern with gender and resemblance?
I always find it interesting to compare parents and their children. Sometimes they're like mini versions of their folks, and other times you'd never guess they are related.

6. I should clarify -
My husband is my oldest daughter's stepfather.

I wish I could post a picture of my oldest and her father side-by-side. She really is his spitting image. I won't post his picture here, though.

With my sisters and brother, there is no mistaking AT ALL that we are siblings. I look just like my dad. (Actually, I'm almost identical to my aunt, but she and my uncle also bear a very strong resemblance to my dad, their brother.)

11. Ah- the adult sibling thing.
I don't think my sis and I look a whole lot like either of our parents, but we look VERY much like each other; we just have different noses. Sometimes I wonder what he'd have looked like, if we had a brother.

2. The triplets' parents both have dark hair and dark eyes....
Their father is of all-Greek ancestry (family from Crete) and my niece is an Irish/Luxembourgisch mix. The girl has dark hair, dark eyes and olive skin, the middle boy has sandy hair and his grandmother's hazel eyes, and the older boy is a blue-eyed blond.

Now, I am blonde, but have brown eyes. The blue eyes come from his grandfather (my brother-in-law).

We always said that if one of the trio ended up a blond(e), we'd all be surprised. After six years, we still are surprised.

4. Lol!
My husband came from a family with 4 of 5 being brown-eyed kids. None of our (three) children have brown eyes!

5. My son is a mini version of my hubby.
It's eerie sometimes how alike they are. I always say that nothing of me got put into his make up. LOL

Just hope the next one is a girl who looks like me....fingers crossed.

9. That's what we got with the first two!
My older son is eight, and I can even see personality traits and intellectual predispositions that are like my husband's, but our daughter is SO much like me that it's almost creepy.

14. Personality wise
My kiddo is a pretty even mix.

It's so fun watching him sometimes and seeing all of his little quirks that come out. For example, I'm pretty OCD about stuff being organized....Kiddo is to, when it comes to his cars. Likes all of his stuff neat and tidy while he's playing with it. It's just too funny. LOL

10. I don't have kids, but my sister's two children...
...have a definite resemblance to one parent. My 8-year-old niece looks like my sister's side of the family (specifically, she looks a lot like me! Go figure ), and my 6-year-old niece looks exactly like her father, only female. :P

I look very much like my mother, my sister looks very much like my father, and my brother's a hybrid. :P

12. With the exception of their hair color. . .
my daughter and son look just like me. They both got their father's blond hair and as they get older, they have more of his facial expressions. Otherwise, they both look like me and I look just like my dad. So do my sisters and brother. Strong genes.
