Anyone experienced with posting videos on Youtube? I need help.

I have a 5 minute video I am trying to post on youtube and I am having trouble getting it to look as good as I think it can. Check out this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlxDzXj67qM
it looks pretty good. My video looks a more pixelated. I have followed youtube's instructions. Anyone have any tips for getting my video to be as minimally pixelated as possible?

1. Are you using DivX format for the clip, what is the resolution of the original?

I am not technically knowledgable about this stuff

They guy who is helping me put it up says is is 720x480.
He used compressor mpeg4. He had no idea what DivX was.

3. I think DivX uses mpeg4, as far as the resolution goes ...

to make a video for YT and process it, the ideal is some integer multiple of 320x240 or a 'half-integral' multiple, 480x360 (3:2) , 800x600 (5:2) etc.

Once you've edited your video and all your video effects have been applied you can resize it to 320x240 and convert it to mpeg4. that should be ideal for YT.

You can leave the resolution higher but the download can be slow, very slow in some cases.
